NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS
Non-immigrant visas are issued to applicants in the United States or abroad who are coming
to the United States for a specific purpose for a temporary stay and can prove their eligibility
for the type of visa sought. Montagut and Sobral attorneys are experienced in obtaining all
types of non-immigrant visas for our clients. Most non-immigrant visas cannot be extended
indefinitely and having a non-immigrant visa does not ever automatically lead to permanent
residence. Some of the most common visas include the following:
PERMANENT RESIDENCE
Our attorneys have extensive experience in handling all types of permanent residence cases.

CITIZENSHIP
Our attorneys have helped thousands of clients to become U.S. citizens. The advantages of citizenship are
too numerous to list here, but some of the most obvious benefits include the ability to vote and the ability
to petition for family members to obtain their permanent residence. In addition, U.S. citizens cannot be
deported for criminal activity.
